Off Topic (WAY off topic)! Casey James

Alright - so I'm a little late (blame it on having a DVR/TIVO), and WAY off topic - but may I please gush for a moment about Casey Jones on American Idol (a few nights ago?)!

O-M-G... Yes, i'm closer to Kara's age, and yes, this is totally inappropriate for a "Corset Review" blog - but (at the moment) I don't have anywhere else to babble on. <sighs> I'm just in heaven right now... and, although I apologize for getting so "off" - let me revel in it for a few moments, yes?

Happy Lacing (especially if you have someone that beautiful to help you)!

Victorian Riding Corset by Corset Connection

I am really impress by this corset. The shape and fit is quite good. The front busk opening is about 11" long, and comes up to a point just between the breasts. This allows it to fit well with an underwire bra, and with a push-up bra it looks amazing. The one I have here is their Black Floral Brocade. It has strong boning and I purchased it with the Ribbon Corset Laces (LOVE THESE! will write more about corset laces later).

Although I am a wimpy corset wearer (ie. I do not tight-lace, I just like them to be comfy and practical), I was easily able to reduce my 39" waist to 37", and keep it there for an entire evening. When I removed the Victorian Riding Corset my tummy stayed flat for a good hour or so before it gradually went back to "too big" <sighs>. Definitely more comfortable than liposuction, but not quite as long-lasting.

Since I didn't remember to ask my dinner companion to take a picture - you'll all be happy to just look at the lovely Bernie Dexter (instead of the not-quite-so-lovely me) here: Victorian Riding Corset

Happy Lacing!!!

Corset Information Website

The terrific corset information website www.CorsetInformation.com has recently been updated and reformatted. It is now easier to find the information that you want, when you want it. There is also a corset making manual for sale on the site, and a new forum (that looks a wee bit sparse, so maybe we should all go there and get it going?)!

Remember to take a look around and let them know what you think of their new site and format. Feedback can be sent to info@cameo-designs.com.
